Comprehensive foundation in phonology, Arabic script mechanics, nominal syntax, and core vocabulary of modern literature and diplomacy. Students build conversational fluency through role-playing and active listening pods.
Deductive Morphology (Sarf) & Syntax (Nahw)
Systematic exploration of the Arabic root-and-pattern system (`Awzan`), derived verb forms I through X, verbal nouns (`Masdar`), and grammatical case endings (`I'rab`). Essential for precision writing and classical reading.
Arab Media, Journalism & Geopolitics
Intensive listening and reading seminar analyzing live Arabic broadcast news (Al Jazeera, BBC Arabic), investigative print journalism, press conference transcripts, and Middle Eastern geopolitical terminology.
Qur'anic Exegesis (Tafsir) & Classical Balagha
Advanced seminar exploring Classical Arabic rhetoric (`Balagha`), metaphor (`Majaz`), eloquence (`Bayan`), and classical exegesis texts from Al-Zamakhshari and Ibn Kathir alongside manuscript reading in our Fes riad.
